It's nice to meet you.

Hi, I’m Sierra Sarrazolla, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in Idaho.

I earned my Master of Social Work from Boise State University and have been working in the field of social work since 2019. Like all the best things in life, my path in therapy was an unexpected surprise.

LEARN MORE ABOUT ME

Early in my career, I was passionate about macro-level social work and spent time involved in policy and advocacy efforts; specifically advocating for policy change within Idaho's foster care system and childcare policy. I loved the idea of creating change on a systems level, but I found myself increasingly drawn to the human side of the work - the conversations, the relationships, and the privilege of hearing people's stories. I realized that the place I most wanted to be was sitting across from someone, sharing in the sacred work of being human; holding space for the mess, the heartbreak, the questions, and the “becoming” that happens when we allow ourselves to heal, grow, and just be.

I began my clinical career in corrections, working inside Idaho’s prisons and the local jail with men and women experiencing acute mental health concerns, severe mental illness, substance use disorders, trauma, and crisis situations. These experiences gave me the opportunity to support individuals during some of the most challenging periods of their lives. They deepened my respect for human resilience and reinforced my belief that every person deserves to be understood within the context of their whole story.

Today, I focus on providing individual therapy in a setting that allows for deeper connection, reflection, and growth.

Today, I focus on providing individual therapy in a setting that allows for deeper connection, reflection, and growth. My areas of interest include trauma recovery, relationship challenges, attachment and connection, identity development, and supporting young adults as they navigate the often-complicated transitions of adulthood. For those who desire it, I offer Catholic Christian counseling that thoughtfully integrates faith with evidence-based therapeutic care. At the same time,  I take my professional code of ethics very seriously and approach every client with respect, curiosity, and compassion, honoring the unique experiences and values they bring into session. I am unwavering in my commitment to providing ethical, compassionate care to all clients and do not discriminate on the basis of race, ethnicity, national origin, sex, gender identity or expression, sexual orientation, age, religion, disability, marital status, political belief, immigration status, or any other protected status.

My approach is grounded, collaborative, and authentic. I believe therapy works best when you feel comfortable enough to show up as your real self - messy thoughts, hard feelings, awkward moments, and all. I strive to create an environment that is both compassionate and honest, where you can feel supported while also being challenged to grow.

Outside of the therapy office, I believe in the importance of connection, balance, and finding moments of joy in everyday life. I love spending time with my husband and our two children, going to Mass as a family, and trying new food. You can often find me out on a trail, reading a cheesy romance novel, cheering on my favorite Formula One team, or spending time with a few friends, bonding over faith and a few glasses of wine.

Seeking support can feel vulnerable, and taking that first step is often the hardest part. I'm honored to be part of that journey and look forward to meeting you where you are.
